M-6 worth Rs 4499... Worth it or not?

Spice mobile has come up with a sports edition model M-6. The target consumers are sports professionals and freaks. The model comes up with good features for professionals but is not an all round bet.
M-6 Sports edition

The M-6 comes up with a 1.3 Mp camera. One just cannot take pictures from it. But the connectivity features are really promising. It is bundled with GPRS, WAP, stereo Bluetooth capabilities. The new version of stereo bluetooth is a promising feature introduced in it, probably, good for sportspersons. The M-6 has a opera mini browser inbuilt. Yet, this phone lacks on one of the hottest technologies in market, 3G. But, one can argue that at such low a price it may not possible to give everything. Another interesting feature is the radio recording feature. These features combined together make M-6 a good bet within the range of the common man's pockets.

Converting your SIM into a micro SIM!

Converting a normal SIM into a micro SIM is extremely easy. This is chiefly for users who have not yet got access to micro SIM.
Got my micro sim for the iPhone 4!
This is a micro SIM of an iPhone.
Steps for making a normal SIM into a micro SIM.
Required materials: A scissor, a piece of paper, scale.
Step 1: First take out a normal SIM.
Step 2: Mark the dimensions of the micro SIM in that SIM.
...and 100!
Use the ruler for this purpose.
Step 3: After marking, start cutting the boundaries with a scissor.
On cutting with precision, the SIM turns out to be a micro SIM!
So, the original SIM-

In the market, SIM cutters are being sold at a high price which follow the same technique. In Malayasia, this SIM cutter costs Rs 2000. Modified micro SIM will be a big hit in countries like India where the iPhone 4 is yet to hit stores.

Google Chrome has released a patch!

Google Chrome has finally come with a patch that exposed security concerns among users worldwide. Though the complexity of the risk was not revealed, but google has assured that these issues have been taken care of.
New Google Favicon High Resolution

Facing three acute problems, chrome has been updated and, thankfully there is a patch. There were a host of issues which google looked after. One of them was the storing of URls in the google database through CHROME. That means, any website that is viewed through CHROME leaves a copy in the google database (although the feature could be turned off). Besides, Google Update comes up with CHROME and gets installed. And, removing it is a tedious job.
CHROME, in a short time span, has been able to gain a good market share of 8.3%. Internet explorer is still enjoying the top spot, but is rapidly chased by Firefox which is running close, second, with 31.01%. The interesting matter in this competition is that Google is behind CHROME. And, whatever has Google touched, it has become an immediate success.

FACEBOOK!

Facebook has reached the 500 million mark. A website that started as a college project has jogged its way into serious business. The sudden rise has been miraculous to say the least. An idea about creating a social networking website with proper marketing strategies requires astute planning. Seven new members are added every second thereby leading to a rush. In the last six months alone facebook has added more than 100 million users worldwide.
But, ownership and privacy issues have plagued the site time and again. Mark Zuckerberg, the current owner, was legally challenged by a businessman Paul Ceglia. Ceglia is reported to have claimed 84 percent of stake. The case still stands till today. Even infringement of privacy issues have been in the news for over a period of time. The idea about facebook being a safe site is a little difficult to swallow.
But light shines bright in the case of its growing popularity. The craze just doesn’t seem to die down. In Iran, where foreign reporters are not allowed, facebook does the job. In india, people chat on it even if the other person is just on the next house. And now, half the time, one does not log in to connect with people but to play Farmville. The rationale behind making this website was to help people communicate. And, this is exactly what facebook is doing.

No profit motive!

JHARCRAFT is doing great work in terms of empowering the tribals of the state. The company does not have a profit motive but a motive of welfare of the state. Yet, with great tact and precision the marketing policies are being graduated effectively to increase demand for such goods. The tie up with Wal-Mart is one such marketing super gimmick. The exceptional network that is built with such tie ups reduces the burden of promotion of your product. The tie up firm promotes, creating space and time for you to concentrate the administration and production of the product. The profits incurred, from the splendid run of the company is used for further creating a market space that will be responsible in surging sales cumulatively. The tribals of Jharkhand are known for their hard work .It is just, that right path is shown to them. Besides, in a state of constant revolt from Maoists, it is the villagers who utmost need a proper living. Quantitatively, the idea of job creation has been a success for JHARCRAFT and JHARKHAND. More and more tribals have been influenced to join this trade as it offers a decent living standard with a proper income. Ultimately, it is them who will have to work and display their skills and further enhance this small company’s brand value into something as big as Armani.

JHARCRAFT: India’s world organization!

JHARCRAFT (JHARKHAND SILK TEXTILE AND HADICRAFT DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION) has exported products worth Rs 1K this year. It is aiming to cross 5k this year.
JHARCRAFT, an industry body promoted by the government of Jharkhand for the development of handicrafts, handlooms and silk products, is changing perceptions of Jharkhand. With a turnover of just over Rs 5 million in 2007-08, it wasn’t expected to do great business. To a surprise, the sales surged to Rs 70 million in 2008-09 and by 2009-10; touched Rs 150 million. Growth has been faster than any other government organization in the country that promotes its handicrafts. JHARCRAFT has recently opened outlets in cities such as Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi. The department intends to open stores in every corner of the country. It is also thinking of opening an emporium in Mauritius on a franchisee basis. In a recent bid to build its reputation as a global brand in silk products, JHARCRAFT is sending two artisans who will showcase their products at the World Expo being held in Shanghai, China. Besides, the organization is aiming to tie up with Wal-Mart and other entities in India and abroad to boost sales. It is also in talks for an export pact along with London-based Alankrita Associates and with a Canada based company. It currently has a tie up with Jaipur based Moorarka Organic Pvt Ltd for exports. This company is surely going big!

Nuclear Fusion: Now Iran!

Iran has launched a programme to develop nuclear fusion reactors, a distant dream yet for the whole world. This programme is known to be the most ambitious and audacious ever in Iran’s history.
Nuclear fusion generates power by nuclear fusion reactions. Here, two light atomic nuclei fuse together to produce a large atomic nucleus, and in the process release large amounts of energy. Power produced from fusion reactions is almost limitless. This is the reason why countries want to harness the potential life saver technology. Moreover, fusion energy is clean as compared to fission or power produced from coal or petroleum. But, fusion has another angle to it. Originally, fusion was conceived as a military exploit that could change a country’s equation with the world. As a result, there is potential in two directions, construction and destruction.
Since the programme is security specific, so the international community made efforts to build a plant in 2006. But, costs have soared from 5 billion Euros to 15 billion Euros. Presently the Joint European Torus(JET) conducts the largest fusion experiment in the world. JET still holds the world record for the generation of fusion energy: in 1997, 16 megawatts were generated during 1 second, and a continuous fusion capacity of 4 MW during 4 seconds.
Iran has raised world concerns by starting this programme. International Atomic Agency’s report on Iran has raised suspicions regarding its claims of peaceful use of nuclear technology. According to IAEA “ Iran has not provided the necessary co-operation to permit the agency to confirm that all nuclear material in Iran is for peaceful activities. Iran is not implementing the requirements contained in the relevant resolutions of the board of governors and the security council… which are essential to building confidence in the exclusively peaceful purpose of its nuclear programme and to resolve outstanding questions. In particular, Iran needs to co-operate in clarifying outstanding issues which give rise to concerns about possible military dimensions to Iran's nuclear programme. ”
It seems the race will continue for some time!

EVDO vs 3G

The bsnl Evdo is the CDMA brand of internet that has not yet made much of a market or hoohaa compared to 3G. Both of them have currently almost the same speed with 3G slightly ahead in terms of data transfer rate, but the chief point in India is the signal transmission.
3G signal reception has been criticized by many. Proper distribution is not there in 3G. But, same is the case with EVDO. Although both of them aren't made for the rural market but the middle class market is essential. And, in this 3G makes it out because it is cheaper.
MTNL modem costs Rs 1799, while BSNL’s modem comes around Rs 2000 which supports 3.6Mbps, the modem supports 7.2Mbps costs. In case of Evdo, Reliance, MTS, BSNL modem Rs 2299, while Tata Photon+ modem costs Rs 2499. Apart from BSNL other EVDO operators don’t have option to use unlocked/outside purchase.

All in all 3G is still the better option if you have got good reception in your locality.

India's $35 tablet Unveiled!

India on Thursday unveiled a prototype tablet computer that would sell for a mere 1,500 rupees($35). Key features of the touch screen make it an exciting bet.
1. Browser
2. Multimedia Player
3. PDF reader
4. Wi-fi
5. Video-Conferencing
But the most important feature is the battery. The tablet has a solar powered cell that makes it effective for villages.
The aggressive computer literacy campaign started by the UPA government is finally paying dividends in terms of practical achievements from the investments in R&D.
The tablet motherboard has been designed by IIT students, and work is on to further reduce costs to $20.
Go On India!!!!

Virtual Intelligence: An insight!!!

It’s something like the matrix, where matrix stands for a code designed which allocates memory for all kinds of activities with complete possibility of the infinite. Infinite here signifies all possible options of activities. In simple terms, we know about the movie matrix. Everything could be done in the microcosmic digital state that the matrix represents, in the same way as things can be done in reality. Fictitious rather, is it??
Here are some options that can have an impact on your thinking.
!!! String theory says that the smallest unit which forms the matter is itself a string and it vibrates in specific frequencies.
!!! The vibrations are not bound by space or time. In fact even thoughts are now proved to be nothing but vibrations which may be strings.
So can it not be possible for us to alter the vibrations of the bit-level binary language so that the processor understands the code and accordingly responds to the situation in a more responsible manner (in some way I am talking of artificial intelligence). Again if games like quake 3, counter strike, age of mythology can create simulation, then why not with a little bit of help from string theorists can an artificial or false intelligence be created.
Easier said than done: In reality every possible occurrence is sequentially planned in a source code. So if for instance an object in a game goes near a door and tries to open it without success then it takes a different path and tries another door. In this little stint of the game coding with quite a lot of combinations are required. Let us go step by step:
Step1: we allow the movement of the object in all directions. This involves coding so that the mouse cursor can move in the 1200*768 screen (that means the monitor)
step2: object goes near door (the door was created in the code).
step3: Object tries to open the door. (It is locked). :::: All these options come under different combinations of the code.

So, right from movement of the object to every little single variation is completely a preplanned coding process where all these combinations were taken into consideration in the first place. That would mean that to create an atmosphere similar to reality, all possible combinations have to be worked upon which is quite a tedious and difficult task to do but not impossible. Even if somehow we manage that, it doesn't mean anything until and unless we humans who are outside the system transfer the controls to a false or artificial player inside the system. I am sure; EA and other game making companies are trying to create some wonderful and more enriching realistic games which will slowly change the definition of games from social enjoyment to social realism!! Fortunately we are reaching there, it may take time but each step taken in this process is a success.
((From now on the word matrix would mean a program with artificial intelligence capabilities. i.e. an ideal program which simulates real life))
Coming back to the matrix: We perceive things as they are or in other words as they appear to us. But in reality we are bound by our senses. As the great Swami Vivekananda said that if we had a magnetic or electrical sense, then it would have been a totally different world. Every piece of matter would then be judged in electrical or magnetic terms by us. And here the processor has the advantage over the brain because it can be instructed to incorporate these capabilities within the matrix. Eventually the matrix will help us in understanding the universe in different ways from us because of our sensory limitations.
